Arsenal London - Real Madrid: London day 2 & 3

We started second day by visiting London Eye. It is the tallest (135meters) Ferris wheel in Europe and the most popular paid tourist attraction in UK. After the round we went to Parliament and Big Ben, then we peeked on Westminster Abbey because on Sunday it is closed for tourists. The weather wasn't so bad, only on the way to Buckingham Palace, the Queen's house, it was rainy for about 15-20 minutes. As always there were hundreds of tourist, we went through Admiralty Arch to Trafalgar Square. After making some photos there we moved to Piccadilly Circus and caught metro to Arsenal stadium, where the Emirates Cup took place. We did this trip very quickly because the game was the most important point of our journey ;] On the game we could see Jerzy Dudek, former number one in Polish National Team and other great players of Real Madrid and Arsenal London. Arsenal won 1:0, Emmanuel Adebayor scored from penalty shoot. What I do not like there is that they don't have enough public transport to manage whole fans. Streets are pretty narrow and after the game the whole district was stocked. In the evening the weather was terrible, rainy and cold in the middle of summer... We spent evening on watching movies and drinking polish beer ;]

We dedicated last day to seeing Madam Tussaud's Museum. It is a very famous wax museum, where you can find many models of famous people. There is also an exhibition about history of London sponsored by one of prime minister, but it is not allowed to take photos there. After this interesting exhibition we had to be before 1pm in The o2 Arena, because we had tickets to Tutankhamun Exhibition. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take photos as well. But the exhibition is very exciting. Just before coming back to Manchester we shortly stopped near Tower Bridge to take some photos.

I really enjoyed trip to London, we saw many things there, for me the most impressive was Greenwich and this amazing architecture in House of Parliament. What is sure, you will not see everything in London even in three days, but it is enough to visit the most popular places. From my point of view I couldn't live there, London is too crowded for me.

London: day 1

To sum up I am in England about 1,5 year and I have never been in London...till the second of August ;] Everything began when I bought tickets for Emirates Cup. After this we had to go to London, the question was for how long. Thanks to our friends: Gustaw, Basia and Konrad we had free accommodation for three days.
First morning wasn't very positive, it was very rainy in Manchester and we were scared that the same will be in London. Fortunately, London was very sunny, only one black cloud wanted to scary us. This day we decided to spend in Greenwich, the place where the Royal Observatory was set up, where the globe is divided into west and east. We also visited National Maritime Museum near the Royal Hospital.

During our first day we had many small airplanes above our heads because of Red Bull Air Racing, which took place near The o2 Arena. Things which pilots presented were amazing, I have never seen this kind of tricks. Unfortunately, we saw only warm-up, because the tournament was pretty far from us and the tickets were really expensive. In general the whole day was very exciting for me and I really like this part of London.
